Nomadix Lists Its Top Partner Organizations Of 2022
As 2022 comes to a close, we at Nomadix wanted to update everyone on the causes that were close to our hearts this year. Nothing means more to us than the causes that give back to our people and our planet. At Nomadix, generosity is a core belief that we keep in mind with every action. We are part of 1% For The Planet, in which we are committed to donating 1% of all our sales, not just profits, back to environmental causes. For us, we wanted to create a patchwork community, because sustainability only happens when we work together. Though we work with these organizations throughout the year, we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to join us and donate to support our partners who are making a difference in their communities.
1% For The Planet
1% for the Planet represents a global network of businesses, individuals, & nonprofit organizations tackling our planet’s most pressing environmental issues by putting people and the planet above profits. They were founded to prevent greenwashing, certify reputable giving, & provide accountability and certification is only given to those that donate 1% of annual sales or salary to environmental causes. To date, network members have given of $435 million in environmental solutions.
The Conversation Alliance is an organization of like-minded businesses whose collective contributions support grassroots environmental organizations and their efforts to protect wild places. Since 1989, The Conservation Alliance has continued more than $25 million in grants to conservation organizations whose collective efforts have resulted in the permanent protection of 73 million acres of land & 3,576 miles of rivers; stopped or removed 37 dams; acquired 18 climbing areas; and designated five marine reserves. The Conservation Alliance launched their 2022 Confluence Program to fund four historically racially excluded groups working to conserve the outdoors. Each group will receive $100k over the next two years for their effort to protect or conserve land and/or water to foster a planet where natural places, wildlife and people thrive together.
Camp Brave Trails is a national non-profit organization dedicated to LGBTQ+ youth leadership. They host summer camps, family camps, mentorships programs, meet-up groups, & year-round leadership programming. All of their programs focus on helping LGBTQ+ youth find what they need most to thrive: their people, their place, and their passion. This year Brave Trails closed on their own property in California to create a forever home to expand their programming and create the first LGBTQ+ dedicated camp.
The Ecology Center is a 28-acre regenerative organic farm, located in the heart of San Juan Capistrano, California. Their mission is to connect people to their food and community through education, community-supported agriculture boxes, and their Nourishing Neighbors program, which gives back 20% of what it grows to families in the community. We work with their Nourishing Neighbors program to support five families year-round & we have also collaborated with The Ecology Center & artist Cody Hudson to design a new design for our Original Towel, where 100% of the proceeds will be donated directly back to The Ecology Center.
The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves, & beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network. They act through their campaigns, which include combatting plastic pollution of the oceans and beaches, securing beach access for all, working on coastal preservation, and more. Through their campaigns to protect coastal places, the Surfrider Foundation has secured 79 Victories in 2021 alone, with 775 victories overall. The Billfish Foundation works worldwide to advance the conservation of billfish and associated species (through research, advocacy, and education) to improve the health of oceans and the economies of those dependent on them. We've been supporting them for the past year and have exciting plans together for the coming year.
